Bus stops

I have just a couple of minutes, but have wanted to blog on bus stops for some time now. Ever since the papers ran pictures of the oldest bus stop in Singapore near the army camps (I used to live near there) I have been thinking of the old MacRitchie Bus stop.

This was before they separated the area into two bus stops. Then, MacRitchie was already a hub of activity as many people changed buses there. I remember stopping there every evening in the mid'70s to switch buses and buy my copy of Student World at the bus stop.

Yes, there was a little kiosk built into the bus stop and the "mama shop" sold my favourite student magazines.

Actually, Student World became Student Pal and then kind of disappeared.
